Single lashes are the classic and first method of eyelash extension. The result is a mascara effect, longer and thicker lashes. A single lash is attached to a natural lash and the result depends on your natural lashes when it comes to length and fullness.

But you can also choose the length, degree of bending and thickness.

Flat lashes

There are also flat lashes that work like single lashes, but have a flat root instead of the cylindrical shape of single lashes. The result is perceived as more intense and fuller.

If you can't decide what to choose, you can always mix single and volume lashes. The result is individual, so ask your lash stylist for advice and be clear about what result you want to achieve.

Make lashes at home!

If you want to try doing eyelash extensions at home on yourself, it's important that you do it the right way. That you don't stress, because it will take time, especially the first few times.

• Start by cleansing your own lashes and make sure the cleanser is free of oil.
• Clean all the tools you will use, such as tweezers and scissors.
• Pour out some glue.
• Grab the lash with the tweezers and dip the end you want to attach into the glue. Don't use too much glue, as it can cause clumps.
• Start by applying the lash in the outer corner of your eye, attaching the lash to your own lashes as close to the root as possible. Repeat until you have filled the entire eye.
• You can use scissors if you need to trim the length of the lashes.
