How to prepare:
The first and most important step is to prep your lids with an eyeshadow primer before applying your makeup. This will help your shadow last all day no matter what type of lid you have.
How to Create a Doe Eye Makeup Look:
1. Start with a neutral eyeshadow
After your primer has dried, apply a matte, neutral shadow all over your lid up to your brow bone as a base. You can use a fluffy eyeshadow brush and move it in a circular motion to blend and distribute the shadow for an even finish.
2. Pop the center
Once your shadow has blended to your satisfaction, apply a lighter eyeshadow to the center of your eyelid. This will build it up more roundly and will draw attention to the center instead. You can use a shimmery or matte finish shadow, depending on what suits your preferences. Apply the shadow to the center with your finger or a brush until it is noticeable enough to stand out from the base shadow color.
3. Apply your eyeliner
How you apply your eyeliner is crucial when it comes to creating doe eyes and it will be slightly different than what you are used to. Most eyeliner application techniques usually angle upwards at the end of the lashes to lengthen. Here you will do the opposite. Apply the liner to the top lid and bring the end down slightly to work on rounding out the shape. Don't pull the liner down too far, and if you find that the edge is sharper than you want it to be, you can blend it with your finger or a brush to spread it out.
When applying liner to the lower lash line, place it in the center and drag it outward to the edge, blending lightly as you go.

4. Accentuate the waterline and add highlighter
The next step is to accentuate the waterline by applying a lighter white liner to the inner edge. This will help your eyes look wider and more awake. Take your pencil and gently glide it along the inside of your lower waterline a few times until the white is visible.
Another benefit of using white eyeliner is that it helps brighten tired eyes and distracts from any redness.
5. Pump up your lashes
You can wear mascara or falsies with the “do-eyed” makeup look. Start by curling your lashes a few times to make sure they look voluminous, then apply two to three coats of a volumizing mascara. Wiggle the wand at the bottom of your lashes and move it upwards to thicken and make sure every lash is covered.
